ASPA & IAPA 2026 - International Conference on Paediatric Anaesthesia
ASPA 2026 Brain Teaser Challenge Series
The ASPA 2026 Brain Teaser Challenge Series is an initiative by the Asian Society of Paediatric Anaesthesia to promote learning and engagement in paediatric anaesthesia in the lead-up to the ASPA 2026 conference at CMC Vellore. Participants will receive periodic brain teaser challenge questions of varying difficulty and score value.
Each brain teaser challenge will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) divided by difficulty level:
Level Difficulty Marks
Basic Foundational / recall-based 5
Moderate Clinical application level 10
Hard Advanced / scenario-based 20
Game Changer Concept integration / rare scenario 40
The release pattern will evolve over the months leading up to ASPA 2026:
  • • Till February 2026:
    1) One question per month (covering all 4 levels: Basic, Moderate, Hard, and Game Changer).
    2) Example: 4 questions total each month.
  • • March to June 2026:
Two questions per month (Moderate and Hard levels only).
  • • July & August 2026:
Weekly questions (Basic and Game Changer levels).
Participants can submit answers through the ASPA Brain Teaser Portal link provided each month. Detailed submission instructions and deadlines will accompany each challenge.
Each question carries a fixed mark value as per its difficulty. Scores are cumulative, and performance will be tracked throughout the brain teaser challenge series. Bonus points may be awarded for early or consistent participation.
The Brain Teaser challenge is open to:
  • • Trainees and practitioners in anaesthesia
  • • Members of ASPA
  • • Paediatric anaesthesia enthusiasts across Asia
Top scorers will receive certificates of merit and special recognition at ASPA 2026. Details of prizes and leaderboards will be announced closer to the conference.
The Game Changer question is designed to challenge even experienced practitioners — testing rare, integrated, or innovative scenarios in paediatric anaesthesia. It can significantly boost your monthly score!
Participants are encouraged to review:
  • • Core paediatric anaesthesia textbooks
  • • Recent ASPA guidelines and updates
  • • Case discussions and journal club topics
  • • Scientific journals
Previous questions, answers, and monthly scoreboards will be archived on the ASPA 2026 Brain Teaser Portal under the Brain Teaser section.
The question will be displayed only for …. seconds/minutes. Ensure that you have a stable internet connection and log in at least 5 mins prior to the challenge time.
